What to expect in my class?
The most fun you can have while doing yoga! I am a hands on teacher (as long as you approve) and will often provide hands on assistance to improve your practice session. If the class if fast paced, expect fun jams and prep your brain to memorize short flow sequences. If splits, handstands and crow poses aren't your thing, plenty of options will be available and all are welcome!
Outside of teaching yoga, what do I love to do?
I love listening to worship music and Steven Furtick. If you come to my classes you'll hear all about how hard it is to make my playlists...I have an awesome family, a strong faith practice and am a full time REALTOR. My kids are 9 and 4 and they're growing entirely too fast. If there's any spare time after these things and playing with my kids, I like to lift weights.
How long have I been practicing and what specialities?
My first yoga class was in 2008 and I was HOOKED. It took a while for me to learn the practice, the different methods and to decide a yoga certification was appropriate for me. I started with a pre and post natal training and quickly progressed to/through my 200hr course. Since then, I have completed an additional 300 Hr course, 85 hr pre and post natal yoga, reformer pilates, and am a certified personal trainer and nutritionist. Annually, I teach outside the U.S. at least once a year at resorts (nice perk, eh?). I am a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider and would love to hear any requests to host workshops at the studio!
Which classes I normally teach each week?
My favorite class is a slow flow. I'm currently teaching yoga sculpt and all levels flow.
